Pub Crawl or is it a Gourmet Truck Crawl? – Comfort Truck, FrySmith, Bootleggers Brewery & The Bruery

Last Saturday was a good food adventure day. We started out by going to Charlie’s Chili in Newport Beach for breakfast. Then it was watching all of our Twitter & Facebook peeps talking about visiting the 15 gourmet food trucks that were at the California Democratic Convention at LA Live. Unfortunately we were not ableContinue reading “Pub Crawl or is it a Gourmet Truck Crawl? – Comfort Truck, FrySmith, Bootleggers Brewery & The Bruery”

Late Night Craving – Crepes bonaparte & Louks to go – Downtown Fullerton, CA

You know when you get one of those cravings that you just can’t shake. Well I had a crepe craving last night. This is all Crepes Bonaparte’s fault! I blame them because they make a great crepe. I think Kim was sick of hearing me talk about it all day. So we checked out TwitterContinue reading “Late Night Craving – Crepes bonaparte & Louks to go – Downtown Fullerton, CA

Breakfast Adventure – Wilma's Patio – Balboa Island, CA

After another fun morning at Newport Beach with the dogs we searched and searched for a breakfast joint.  Finally we stopped at Wilma’s Patio.  Wilma’s is an older joint with a good sized menu.  Place seemed a little pricey and we were just not feeling it.  When the food came out we were pleasantly surprised.Continue reading “Breakfast Adventure – Wilma's Patio – Balboa Island, CA”

Why can't Every Meal be Breakfast – Paul's Coffee Shop

Finally we made it to Paul’s Coffee Shop in Fountain Valley, CA. Paul’s will be a joint on an upcoming episode of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives (DDD). The coolest part for me is finding places like this that have not yet aired. For some reason they are extra special. The only other DDD we haveContinue reading “Why can't Every Meal be Breakfast – Paul's Coffee Shop”

Who Cares about Art when there are Food Trucks Nearby – @Brooklyn_Boys and @piaggioonwheels

Kim and I had a very hard time figuring out what this weekends food adventure would be.  We narrowed it down to two choices, to check out two food trucks at the Santiago Art Walk in Santa Ana, CA or head over to Paul’s Coffee Shop, a new Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives (DDD) joint in FountainContinue reading “Who Cares about Art when there are Food Trucks Nearby – @Brooklyn_Boys and @piaggioonwheels”

Whoever knew Food Trucks would be so Cool – Crepes Bonaparte Truck

You know I love my Diners, Drive-ins and Dives (DDD), but I am really starting to get the gourmet food truck bug. I think it has to do with my need for a mission or maybe it is the fact that there are more and more gourmet trucks making their way down from LA intoContinue reading “Whoever knew Food Trucks would be so Cool – Crepes Bonaparte Truck”
