This was a breakfast recommendation that we received from a few Hawaii natives so we decide to check it out. If you are looking for a place that has local flavors and great service this is your spot. Be prepared to wait a bit and know that they are only open for breakfast and lunch but it is worth the visit.
The most popular item on the menu is the banana pancakes with macadamia nut sauce. They were surprisingly fluffy considering how generous the banana is in the batter, and topped with chopped macadamia nuts on top. Kim would absolutely get the sauce again but she wants to try it on their
waffle next time.
For me, when I come to Hawaii, it is all about Portuguese Sausage or (actually and) Spam, with eggs and rice. In this visit, I ordered both which came with their fried rice which also had Hawaiian smoked sausage in it. Triple the protein! Lets just say I all but licked my plate. Very simple
dish but executed perfectly.
The servers and staff were all very friendly and I strongly suggest you try it!
